Certified Tier 1 Foundation Dogs®
21 puppies entered the Foundation Dog training program on October 5th. 2 litters, 100% of the puppies from those litters, 13 Master Dog Trainers in 6 states. The puppies are testing for their Tier 1 certifications this week! To certify Tier 1, a puppy must be progressing well in all 4 functions of the Foundation Dog® training program. tracking, scent detection, protection and advanced obedience. I am personally training 1 puppy from each litter, Capone 10 weeks old (Chaos/Dark) and Tonic 12 weeks old (Slash Maker). Tracking: Both puppies are tracking straight lines up to 100 feet long and performing turns and zig zags along the way. Protection: Both puppies have amazing grips and handle pressure with no issues. Bite is full, deep and calm and re-bite is an audible sound. Obedience: Pinch collar was added yesterday and puppies are now performing all obedience (statics) with duration, finger hold is 5 seconds, send outs are 10 feet with a sit front return. Scent detection: Both puppies are alerting to target odor.
Very impressed with both of these puppies and the opportunity to watch the development of all the puppies from both litters. Puppies will be entering Tier 2 training beginning Monday and 4 of the 22 are available for purchase (as of Monday the price is Tier 2 pricing and buyer can immediately be involved in the Saturday zoom gatherings to see their puppy being trained and tested). GSD tie was successful this week with Bea and Turbo: Litter expected around Christmas 2025 and Foundation Dog training begins on or around March 1st 2025. ww.TopTierK9.com/litters-on-the-ground
