The Foundation Dog®

Tier 3 Certified Foundation Dogs® are ready for exposure to your existing scenarios that involve tracking, scent detection, protection/apprehension and advanced obedience.  It takes only a few weeks to turn a Top Tier K9 Tier 3 certified Foundation Dog® into your LE K9, executive/family protection dog, military K9, special security dog, sports dog, emotional support dog, therapy dog, or service dog for people with disabilities, or even a virus detection dog.

3 Tiers/phases of training over 20 weeks followed by finishing work (Tier/Phase 4) conducted by you or for you and with you depending on your specific needs/use of the dog.  

These are professionally bred and trained Foundation Dogs® requiring you to complete handler/trainer programs to fully comprehend how to manage these best of breed working dogs.  You can also learn to train Foundation Dogs® through our Academy for Dog Trainers.

Call (850) 321-3253 for pricing options.  We do not sell untrained puppies.  All of our puppies are put through Tiers/phases of the Foundation Dog® training program.  Dogs that certify Tier/Phase 3 are then ready to be finished (Phase 4) for your specific needs

Process

  • Schedule a free on-line consultation with a Top Tier K9 professional:  Call (850) 321-3253 or use the contact form

    • Define Scope:  Determine what you need your K9 companion to accomplish.  

    • Select Training Package:  Choose a tier/phase of training or acquire a finished dog.  We can finish a Tier/Phase 3 Certified Foundation Dog to your specific requirements or you can do the training yourself.

    • A Foundation Dog is in the Tier/phase of the imprinting and forecasting program shown to the left.  Imprinted and trained using over 50 elements that roll up into 4 functions:  Obedience, Tracking, Nosework and Protection. 

    • Finished dogs have Certified Phase 3 and have entered phase 4 for scenario training.

    • You can join us live online each Saturday to watch the training of your Foundation Dog.  See Litters on The Ground
